Title: xti glass
Post by: wmchauncey on June 13, 2007, 11:41:15 pm
You've got $1200 to by 2 lenses up to 300mm, lenses so clear that you can crop 50% of the image and still have a good 8x10 picture.  I know that Canon "L" glass will do that, but alas, I cannot afford Canon "L" lenses for my 10 MP XTi.

Suggestions would be appreciated

Hi,

I recently bought the EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS USM and the EF 70-300 F4-5.6 IS USM for my xti (400D). You need to check your prices locally, but their performance is outstanding. Check their reviews at http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/index.html (http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/index.html)

(scroll down to the Canon stuff).

In addition to the two mentioned there are some others to look at ...

Canon 70-200 f4 L
Tamron 17-50 f2.8
Canon 17-40 f4L
