Title: Which flash with Mamiya 645AFD II AND CANON
Post by: Frank Doorhof on June 11, 2007, 03:29:00 am
Hi,
At the moment I need a new flash for the Mamiya 645AFD/II I now own the 580EX Canon so I want a flashgun that will replace the 580EX ON the Canon but also work on the 645AFD/II in auto mode.

I was thinking about the new Metz but do someone here know if it can use a 420EX in slave mode ?

It maybe a bit of a beast, but the Quantum Qflash with QTTL Adapters for Canon and Mamiya is the route I am taking. I am using a Stroboframe with a vertical flip for each Qflash and camera combination.

The Qflash works fine in Auto and Manual modes. At this time I need an factory service upgrade for both of my older Qflashs for the QTTL features to work.

That one is too big for me.
I already own a complete studio setup from Elichrom with a Ranger RX and ringflash.

I really need something like the 580EX for the fill in flash when traveling light.
