Hi all,
I am looking for a software solution /code that I could use to piece
together a mosaic picture from 12 pictures with a little overlap on sides.
we know position of each picture in the final picture. several
pixels from edges of each neighbor pictures has overlap and must be
deleted during formation of main picture
also, what is good keywords to search on the web regarding this topic?
Thanks in advance.

John Smith,
That is really a fascinating question, like the other one you have just posted here. Some folks at Adobe must be happy to see some embarassing post going down the list in this category.
I really wish I could help you John Smith... but... I am afraid that the way you have phrased both questions make them a bit hard to understand. Just in case, try www.ptgui.com if you are looking for panorama software.
Cheers,
Bernard

it seems that i had a bad post, excuse me !
thanks for the link.
I have 12 fixed cameras, and going to save final composite large image on PC, continuously.
So, need a solution (such as SDK, Component, Dll or Source Code) to insert in my PC application to do the proposed job automatically.
Regards

Suggest you try searching on 'image tiling' or 'image tiling code dll' or some other set of keywords narrowing down on image tiling. You will have to work through a lot of non relevant material in order to find the occasional nugget.
You may also try searching more relevant image processing discussion groups. Suggest you wander over to [a href=\"http://processing.org/]Processing[/url] and if their software doesn't address what you need there may be individuals who can point you in the right direction.

I was watching a korean artist Kim-YongJin on Gallery HD the other day doing something similar. He was using Photoshop to do this -
Artist name is: http://www.throughthelookingglass-exhibiti...jinKimPage.html (http://www.throughthelookingglass-exhibition.com/YongjinKimPage.html)

Have you tried Photoshop CS3? The new Photomerge is significantly better than Photomerge in CS2.
