Title: Canon 15mm fisheye - noise?

I recently purchased my first AFD based lens - the 15mm fisheye. All of my other lenses are USM of one flavor or another. The copy of the fish that I have is rather noisy to my ear, when I focus it, etc. I'm just curious if this is the normal thing - I don't have another AFD lens to compare to, so...

Compared with the other canon lenses that I have the 15mm is perhaps a little more grindy than the others. doesn't seem to affect its performance much though.

My copy is also noisy, at least compared to USM lenses. I wouldn't worry too much.

Cool, thanks guys  It seems to work properly, of course, so no worries there...
