Title: New Z3100 software
Post by: Charlie B on May 16, 2007, 01:10:18 pm
Just installed HP's new driver(version 5.0.2) and utility(version 2.8) for Mac OSX. When I found I couldn't print with it, called HP and was advised it wouldn't work without new firmware which is forthcoming. Ironically, the new firmware for Macs is not on their site yet but new firmware is available for windows (version 5.0.0.4). I did not see new drivers for windows and do not know if they will be required for 5.0.0.4. HP support did say "a lot of new stuff is coming out probably this week. Anyway, looks like things are changing and may be available by the time you read this.

I've had the 5.04 for a few weeks on Mac. What is in the Windows list should be in the Mac version too. It's only the installer that is different as the rest is open source Linux/unix.

It's under the System Maintenance link in the Knowledge Center for the Z3100.
Still can't do anything with it until HP puts up the new driver that it needs.
