It looks as if the IPF5000 has been upgraded and the 24" model is almost ready. See the article at WIDE FORMAT On-Line (http://www.wideformatonline.com/content/view/243/39/). It's mostly marketing fluff, but it appears that a self-calibration feature along with some kind of new color management has been introduced in the new models. Also mentioned was a closer tie-in between the drivers and the manual (what manual?).
