Title: Mamiya 645 AFDII Recommendation
Post by: SecondFocus on April 30, 2007, 04:57:15 pm
I have been primarily using the Mamiya 55-110 zoom and have been very pleased. However, do any of you have a recommendation for a favorite lens, sharpness etc. My use is more portrait, glamour, ad work for lack of a better description. Both studio and location.

Thanks in advance!

Hi
120 macro, 150 is also really sharp. The only disavantage with the 150 is I wish it focused closer. I just used the 80 on a job & that lense is also very sharp,

the zoom is good only only when you go down to f/11 or so, the 80mm is much more versatile with much better performance at larger aperture, let say f/5.6 and you can get much closer crop than the zoom even compare with zooming in to 110mm.  The 120mm is the sharpest and i wish they make a AF version of it.
