I got a new OS HDD and reinstalled Lightroom along with everything else. Everything went fine - although managing libraries in LR is a major pain - except my color labels are gone. I foolishly assumed they are saved within the library file, but that's apparently not the case. All my carefully assigned color labels are gone.
I use them to show at which stage each photo is (RAW, LR "pre-master," Master, Print). Now I have to go through my entire library and figure out all over again which is which. Easy but tedious.
The damage is done as I already formatted the old OS HDD - after verifying everything works fine, just missed that color labels are gone. So, how do I avoid re-doing this all the next time?
