Title: A camera for all seasons
Post by: Ross Swanborough on April 05, 2007, 12:06:32 am
Help please ... I am looking for advice on finding a medium format camera to use with portraiture, architectural and landscape work. Cameras that can be fitted with digital & various size film backs. Any suggestions ???

The Hasselblad V-series is a nice camera to use that feels solid. I like the square for portraiture. I have all the latest and greatest Canon stuff but still like the look of scanned Tri-X shot in the Blad for portraits. There is also a "look" to the perspective of medium format lenses in portraiture due to the format size.

You can now get relatively good deals on used gear with the shift out of medium format. Finally, the backs are of course removable and there are digital choices.
