Title: Help printing w/Epson R300
Post by: phillio on March 28, 2007, 11:35:50 am
(also posted this on the Adobe LR forum - hope that's okay)

Hi all,

My biggest problem with Lightroom right now is printing to my Epson R300.
I use Luster Paper and images look quite different on screen than they do in either
Lightroom or soft proofing in PS CS2. Printing from Photoshop is accurate, but
Lightroom is not.

My workflow:

Edit in Lightroom
(roundtrip to PS if necessary)
Print in Lightroom using color management SPR300 Premium Luster within LR
I've tried both Perceptual and Relative.
Make sure print settings are set to Luster and no printer color management.

The print turns out FAR darker than the screen every time.

Is it just the less-than-professional R300 printer? As I said, when printing from PS, the images look far more accurate from screen to print.

My Apple 20" display is calibrated with a Spyder2 Pro by the way.

Help! Thanks!

Phil
