Title: Any idea when Aperture compatible with Leica DMR?
Post by: topoxforddoc on February 04, 2007, 02:54:17 pm
Does anyone have any idea if Apple will provide support for Leica DMR files? So far I haven't even bothered using Aperture on my Mac Pro as it won't support the DMR. Lightroom though does and the Betas that I've used have been pretty good. Shall I just plunge in and buy a copy of Lightroom R1 (when my beta expires)?

Thanks

I don't know what to tell you there. Apple will likely include support for some new cameras in the Mac OS X 10.4.9 update. The update should be released this month. I can't say that it is likely that the Leica DMR will be included in that update but it is possible. It is more likely that cameras like the Nikon D40, Pentax K10D, and Pentax K100D will be supported. I hope all the Leica cameras with RAW support will be supported but only time will tell.
