Title: Sigma 10-20 Zoom
Post by: rvonmayr on January 18, 2007, 08:26:00 pm
Has anyone had any experience with this lens?  I am contemplating adding it to my arsenel to get the wider perspective (Nikon D2X).

I was wondering what experience y'all had with sharpness and distortion (correction), especially at the wide end.

Any comments would be welcome!

Best Regards,

It's excellent value. The lens has quite a bit of distortion at the widest setting (not fixable with CS2 lens correction) but otherwise is fine. The Canon is reportedly a bit better overall, but much more expensive.

I've used the lens.  You can see some of my images using it with my 350D here:

I have since sold the lens though as I've moved to a full frame camera.

fredmiranda is also a nice resource to read user opinions on this lens

I tried it on my 1D. Quite good. Not as flare resistant as I'd like but very good nevertheless.
