I am wanting reasonably priced RAW conversion software and am undecided as between Bibble and Capture One LE. Is there anyone who has tried these two programs and who would recommend one over the other?

I've heard a ton of good things about Pixmantec (http://www.pixmantec.com/)'s (now aquired by Adobe) RawShooter series, and it's not all that expensive.
On the Open Source market, I've tried the totally free UFRaw (http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/) on Linux with the Gimp, but it seems to be available for Windows (http://www.photo-freeware.net/ufraw.php) too.

It was my first time using this forum and I was admittedly fumbling around a bit. I apologize, and I rather hope that in some other areas you are capable of a bit more patience.

Both companies do offer trial versions of their respective software. I've not tried Bibble in depth so I cannot offer worthwhile advice.
Try to D/L the demo versions of both products and see for yourself if eithe Capture One or Bibble fits your needs.

If you're using a Windows PC, act quickly before Adobe stops to offer it , download RawShooter Essentials 2006 (here (http://www.pixmantec.com/products/rawshooter_essentials.asp)).

If your body and lens is supported try DXO, although not cheap at $300 it is excellent and I look at it as an upgrade to all of my lenses so with 5 lenses, I improved each one (significantly) for $60 each.

Posting a new thread in the forum most closely matching the subject of the thread is not something unique to this site, it's standard netiquette. Paying attention to such things will get your questions answered more quickly, as well. And if you look in the appropriate forum before posting a new topic (the search function can be quite handy for this), you'll often find that your question has already been answered or at least discussed many times before, therby accelerating the process of getting your answer.
