A very special, dark mood for this one. I like it a lot… As it's often the case with dark images, the details don't jump in the viewer's face all at once. It's a slow process with a lot of discoveries.

Hi Francois and Degrub. Thanks for your good, interesting comments. Am glad this dark foto warrants " a slow process" of discovery. I'm always hoping that these fotos of the wetlands provide more than meets the eye at first viewing. Richard

The image evokes a sense of foreboding. And yes, as has been mentioned, 'slow' is the word.

Rajan, glad you see the foreboding quality of this messed up landscape that was once almost all marsh grass bordered by a flooded forest healthy with live oaks. But now desecrated.
