I think of winter as a solemn season. One for introspection and reflections. I like it, but I am also happy to move past and into springtime, just a few weeks away.
This photo was taken in 2019, a time when we still had snow in Maryland. (Alas, none so far this season.) Originally processed in color, I wanted to go back, rethink, and reprocess the photograph to bring out the emotions I felt and continue to feel about the scene and the time of the year.
I hope you enjoy my photograph. Please let me know your thoughts, and thank you for taking the time to view it.

Beautifully done.
It feels like essence of winter to me.

Masterful. And as a native son of Maryland, very evocative.

Well done, Bob. Your processing strongly focuses attention on the areas where you wanted it.

Eric, Richard and Arlen: Thanks!

That's one of the coves on Liberty Reservoir. Decent bass fishing and a nice place for wild birding.

Intriguing, makes me think what is the story of that cabin.

Thanks, Paulo. That is an old boathouse used by the County to house a motorboat that it used to patrol the reservoir (lake). Their motorboat is long gone, replaced by a rowboat, and the structure hasn't been maintained for a long time.
