Title: Bellbird
Post by: Mark Nadler on February 14, 2023, 09:13:45 pm
I believe it is a bellbird.  Please tell me if I am wrong.  I took this picture in NZ.  Comments welcomed.

I can't comment on its identification, but it's a very well done image, Mark.

Stunning capture. I like the posture of this bird and also the creamy background. Color palette is also very pleasing and on top of that, the light is good.
Well done.

The white bell bird has the loudest call ever recorded--some 116 dB! I heard one close up in an aviary and it is indeed VERY LOUD!

degrub, thanks for identifying its sex.  PeterAit, I came across this bird in an area that was rich in natural food sources.  There were a lot of other birds and overall it was pretty noisy.  Everyone else, thank you for your kind comments.
