Title: Photoshop CS6 and Windows 11 2022 build
Post by: Lewando_Images on January 19, 2023, 08:08:41 pm
I'm interested if anyone has successfully installed CS6 Photoshop on windows 11 2022 build ? I know it's old and isn't supported. I have a new computer that's running windows 11 Pro 64 bit. I do most of my postprocessing with other apps these days. But I still like printing from CS6 and really don't want to have to pay monthly for CC just to print from it. CS6 does everything I want from Photoshop just fine. If I still did all my postprocessing with Photoshop I wouldn't have a problem paying for CC.
Any help would be more then appreciated.......Thank you so much for any input on this.

The beauty of Windows is that it can run VERY old programs. I regularly use a program that was last updated in 2009 called Backup and Burn. I use it to transfer cards, rename and organize all in one step. (It's amazing that NO program can do that while also separating RAW and JPEG into their own folders after renaming.) I can run an even older program called Versa Check 2002! So, you really should have an issue. Do you have the original installation file and serial number for PS CS6? The best thing would be to do a fresh install. Worst case, you can copy the various folders over from your old computer, but you really need a dedicated transfer program for better success plus there is the issue of writing to the Registry.
