Title: Opinions wanted--Iceland
Post by: PeterAit on December 20, 2022, 11:09:25 am
This photo was taken somewhere on the north shore of Iceland. I really like it because it reminds me of a troll that has fallen on its face--right arm in the foreground, head in the middle, left arm in the distance. But I am never really happy with the processing. Here is the original and my best processing effort to date. Opiions, suggestions all welcome.

I find your processed version quite compelling.

Not familiar with Icelandic trolls,.. but your last image is lovely.

Thank you both. Trolls--y'know, the ugly beasts that live under bridges--are a big part of Icelandic mythology.

I will go with the first image. It has the mood and an air of mystery.

I agree that your first image is very appealing. You nailed it right out of the gate.

Another vote for the first of the two.

The background mist in the first image is the compelling factor, the front part smooth water in second image could be added to first image gradually misting to infinity, also I would crop left hand side just before the highest point in the front finger.
Maybe warm up the land slightly

well you know,..  to all

my "spectacles" draw dramatically to the second.

all the input makes the image more special,  in my mind.

There is so much light to let this one go by,... untouched
