This is the beginning of a series of high key photographs of the last rose of 2022. Even though it’s December, this bloom still had a pleasant fragrance and color. More to come in the near future.
Your comments and thoughts are always welcomed and appreciated.

It's a masterpiece… The B&W processing gives this rose a very strong, crisp and clean look. Also, the high key fits the subject perfectly, the rose looks like silver.
Bravo, Bob.

It's a beaut. I try not to put frames around my images but I wonder in this case if a thin black frame might add to this image.

Francois and Mark: Thank you.

I don't know, but it's worth a try.

Francois beat me to it. A beauty.

Thanks, Rajan.

A different perspective, with modified processing. Please post your thoughts. Thanks again for viewing.

I like these a lot.
Keep them coming!

Eric: Thanks. Yes, I plan to add (at least one) more.

Just as nice as your first image. In fact, I have a slight preference for this one (and no explanation for that, I just don't know why).
Yes, keep them coming, I love your roses.

The final photo in the "Last Rose" series, and a third variation on my general processing theme.

Thanks ever so much, Francois. I posted a final version that I hope you'll enjoy. Best regards.

I love the slightly abstract quality of your last image.

Excellent series. The final of the set is wonderful.

Gentlemen: Thank you for your kind words.

The last one is more intimate… It's like we're now able to a have a peek inside the rose. It's an excellent and pleasant member of the set.
-
Thanks, Francois. (I think I'll end up combining them in a triptych at some point.)

Good idea… you may even try to play with symmetry. I'm not sure whether it's a good idea or not, though.

Well, here it is, Francois.

Wonderful… thank you Bob. Initially, the viewer could think that the left and right roses are just a mirror of the same flower and I like this idea very much. Things are not as simple as they look and taking the time will reveal details.
Bravo again, Bob.

Glad you like it.
