A new wetlands for me. Where Lake Pontchatrain meets the Gulf of Mexico.

I memory serves, Richard, you've done quite a few of these in B/W, but this is one of the first I remember where you've used color. I may be wrong in my recollections, but this here is a very effective image and quite beautiful

I like the atmosphere of the place with trees covered with hanging moss.
Well done, again, Richard.

Some chaos in there but your composition tamed it. Very nice.

David, Eric, francois, Rajan, and Matt: Thank you all for your comments and encouragement.

I felt pretty lucky to get this foto. I'd gone to this same place just a few hours before, but the sun was too high and the shade was too great. When I came back the light had reached under the tree and had lit up the foreground so pleasingly.

David, appreciate your recollections of some past fotos. I've used b&w mostly in order to make these wetland fotos easier to understand. But I "ventured" with color for this one, in part, because the colors actually make the scene more understandable- at least to my eyes.

Matt, Yes I agree there's a lot a chaos, it's the fecundity of these wetlands, and I'm always trying to include more of it in the fotos because I'm more inclined to be a recordist with a camera rather than an artistic photographer. If I succeeded somehow in your view, than I'm luckier than I might deserve.

Thanks again all.

Richard

Kers,
Thanks for commenting.
I can see it that way too. And enjoy it, too.
