Near Cabo Sardão, in southwest Alentejo, Portugal. Recent days have been hot and humid, with fog banks developing along the coast. Sometimes, just at sunset, there is a clear sliver of sky that lets the sun shine through. Didn't happen this time.

1 and 3 are very nice landscapes.
The second is much more intriguing and mysterious.

I agree with the choice. #2 is probably a shot for geologically savvy readers or really a mysterious photo ;D (not that it is ugly but #1 & #3 are definitely more pleasing).

#3 for me.

Thanks Gents.
#2 is a close-up of the cliff face that is shown in #3. I like the almost vertigo sensation when following the rock layers.

Well, I do understand now the "vertigo" effect… It wasn't immediately so obvious.

Just walked past that spot; amazing coastline Indeed! Especially around Cabo Sardao. Was also impressed by the dune like landscape on top of these cliffs;
not to forget the delicious fresh fish restaurants where you could eat this:
it is called: "do you understand"

I've never eaten "do you understand," but I'd sure like to try it!
