Opinions and critique please. I can enter only one of these in a local contest, B&W People category.

I prefer the 1st; it has a higher number of interesting people in it.

#1 or #2, IMO. #1 is perfectly framed and #2 has motion/is dynamic

Another vote for the first one.
They are all good.

Going with no-1. The tension between the horizontal movement of the upper ledge, sidewalk curb and road lines, balances nicely with the vertical movement of the people; and the variation of their poses keeps the movement going nicely. I will say that I would have picked no 3, but for the fact, that for me, not enough of the face is showing, and that is principal element in which makes the image. The dynamism of the city with a hip young person lands on his face, but it is partially covered.

Thanks everyone, your responses are very helpful. I would have gone with #4, the lonely street musician. I've had that one for years and it's always been one of my favorites. Goes to show how difficult it is to judge your own work. I only recently converted #1 to B&W, and was surprised at the result. I'll go with it. BTW: It's a bus stop in Dublin, Ireland.

I agree--the first one. I took the liberty of trying a crop that IMO improves things. The fence at the top and pavement at the bottom don't add anything. And by removing the man at the far left we have remaining only 1 man in a sea of women and he serves as the visual, geometric, and thematic center of the image. Nice one!
