Title: Virga
Post by: David Eckels on July 23, 2022, 11:36:45 am
When the rain does not reach the ground. Another great feature of monsoon mornings.

Curtains of rain, just short enough to let the beautiful sky and its colors visible.
What a beautiful and powerful shot.

Purdy, right purdy, partner. Seriously, the colors are magnificent.

Thank you for your kind remarks. While the colors are not exactly laboratory accurate, they are close. The magenta shown here was a little more of a rose tone, but I just could not dial it in. I did pop the yellow just a bit, too.

Lovely! Virga is also a favorite phenomena of mine. Something magical about it (even though it's a tease during a drought).

Thanks, Matt. I understand about the "tease" but we've had a very wet monsoon season here this year. Lots of micro-cell activity.

Us too! What a relief from how the summer started around here (very dry).
