Title: Should I Kick Him Off?
Post by: RSL on June 08, 2022, 10:58:10 am
I have enough street shots I’m willing to post to make it through the coming week. After that, I’m out. I can’t make more because at 92 I can’t get to a place like St. Augustine where opportunities abound.
What I’m planning to do, unless someone objects, is re-post 31 of my all-time favorites, beginning Wednesday of next week.

I'm a fan of yours, Russ. Hope to see you around for a long time still.

Only 31?  I suspect you have quite a few more keepers than that.

I've read and learned from your essays on street photography, although I confess I've not been a very successful practitioner of the genre, myself, and one thing I think would be interesting would be for you to provide some annotation about how you made particular shots.  I realize that the essence of shooting "street" involves reacting instantly when the opportunity presents itself, but there are ways to help the opportunity along—for example, walking with a camera against the pedestrian traffic on a busy street—and my guess is you have a few tricks up your sleeve that would be instructive.

I'm a fan of yours, Russ. Hope to see you around for a long time still.

Couldn't have expressed it better.  I'm a decade and change behind you, and I understand the limitations of age, but I'm looking forward to your future posts.
