Title: Just a Walk in the Park
Post by: rgs on April 26, 2022, 05:13:20 pm
I don't know if you want to consider this landscape but here is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail that I photographed during my walk at Martin Nature Park this morning. What a treat to see this one! Very large and it seemed to just float on the air with very little effort. It flew into a perfect setting for just a few seconds. When I tried to frame it for a full wing spread, it flew away. Martin Nature Park is a city park in Oklahoma City that is maintained as a wildlife refuge. It used to be on the edge of town - but the city grew around it, so now it's a wild oasis within the city. It's only a few miles from my home so I visit frequently.
