oval..."icon" visible in lighttroom's preview mode
i have sselevged and deselected these icons many times...and yet seen no cinnection to anything related to the satus of the image as n the displayed in the preview mode,
im guessing this is a huge nothing burger but have to ask what its "there for"

That means that the photo is added to the "Quick Collection", a temporary location for photos. I.e. selecting a group of photos from multiple folders to then export, print or process

It is there to warn you it is time to check with your opthamologist. If you see a perfect circle as oval, that is. ::) ;)
And yes, as Frank said above, it serves a very useful purpose.

Yes.....we can say that a circle is always an oval. but an oval is no always a circle.
after sitiing in front of this screen for twelve hours or more ....a square or any other rectangle... can look a bit like an oval
