I use a Nec 302 W 30 inch monitor. It is about 7 years old. I am guessing it has somewhere between 2800 and 4000 hours of use on it. I am planning to upgrade my computer system to one using a M1Mac Pro chip, either a 27 inch iMac or preferably a MacMini when those two models come out. I am wondering how long Nec monitors last, because if my monitor is at the end of its life I would probably go for the iMac rather than the Mac Mini. So, is there any consensus on what is a typical life span for my monitor? Thanks.

After 4000h it's almost brand new, NEC estimates it should be ok for arppox. 50,000h :)

I have the 301W and after 12 years it is still working fine--calibrates accurately etc.

Where do you see the operation hours?

OP here, I just guessed the number of hours.

You don’t have to guess, on mine, you can get a report from the OSD.
