I seem to remember that white sidewall bike tires were popular some fiftyish years ago.

Now, you can even get colored bicycles tires (https://www.schwalbe.com/en/coloured-tires)! I don't think that their popularity is very high, though.

Whitewalls were a sign of affluence among the very young...as I remember it.

I have somewhere a few images of some very overly colorful bikes..if I dare call the that yellow tires red tires  all white tires and the like,.

Fairfax CA is Home to the Marin Museum of Bicycling and the Mountain Bike Hall Of Fame.

People here are bike crazy as fairly well illustrated by this image of the annual "biketoberfest"  which celebrates bikes and beer...

these were about a third of the bicyles which were "parked" at the event....

Imagine trying to find your bike in that lot after a few beers...

Imagine trying to find your bike in that lot after a few beers...

my apartment...was a very few yards up that nill i shot the image from...hence I was treated to all sort of unsual photo opportunities  all day.

Oh it was valet parking  believe it or not. some of the same people who run the bike museum corralled a few volunteers to "park" the bikes.

This is bike heaven ...or hell if there should be a huge cluster of inconsiderate riders maybe 8-12 abreast on any given two lane road or street one is trying to drive ...
