Not really street photography, but when I happened past the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C., this afternoon, the way Swiss painter Nicolas Party has wrapped the iconic drum-shaped building during the renovation of its exterior certainly did trompe on my œil.

Good grab.
It will be an historic image once the renovation is complete.

I've snapped a number of Washington cover-ups over the years, but this one is the most innovative.
The Washington Monument (https://www.flickr.com/photos/chriskernpix/50123340002/in/datetaken/)
The Smithsonian Institution's Arts and Industries Building (https://www.flickr.com/photos/chriskernpix/50123340322/in/datetaken/)
The Capitol Dome (https://www.flickr.com/photos/chriskernpix/50230147616/in/datetaken/)
The Air and Space Museum (https://www.flickr.com/photos/chriskernpix/49983018097/in/datetaken/)
There may be others that I've forgotten. One facade or another always seems to be deteriorating. I attribute it to our toxic political atmosphere.

A very beautiful landscape shot, Chris.
