Title: Eizo CX271 - what kind of LEDs does it use?
Post by: aaron125 on October 10, 2021, 07:44:45 am
I’m using an Eizo CX271, which was generously given to me when recently a family member upgraded to a much newer screen. My question is regarding apps like BabelColor PatchTool, specifically the Display Check function. I’m measuring my screen with an X-Rite i1Display Pro colorimeter and in the PatchTool measurement device settings there are several options for the type of backlight which the screen uses.

I’m pretty sure it’s either white LED or RG phosphor. Does anyone know with certainly the correct option to select? I think it might be White LED but obviously want to make absolutely certain I’m using the correct setting otherwise any measurements taken will be incorrect.

Thanks for any and all assistance.

Just wondering if you’re 100% certain that it uses GB-r LEDs? Only reason I’m asking is that I’ve since tried several of the options for the type of LED backlight in use, when using BabelColor PatchTool and setting the i1d3 setting to White LED has resulted in the greatest accuracy.

I’ll contact Eizo support to confirm but I’m curious as to where you managed to find the info regarding the type of LEDs this screen uses? I’ve read the User Guide from cover to cover and it doesn’t seem to have any info relating to the type of LEDs in use. Even reading through some  (very) old Eizo CG/CX/CS pdf brochures and the too offer absolutely no insight into this matter.

Thanks again for your help and assistance.
