Winter Already (https://blog.parrikar.com/2021/09/21/winter-already/) - Iceland skips a season.

Nice winter shot, but I'm sorry they stole your autumn.

Desolate Beauty.

Very nice indeed. Too bad you can't see the gale force wind. I just read an article by a journalist who visited the recent eruption on Reykjanes peninsula, where she feared for her life mostly because the gale winds almost blew her off the path and down a steep hill towards the hot stuff.

Eric, I'm pleased to report that the Cosmic Order has been restored and Fall is back in season. If I wasn’t tired shooting all day, I would have made a post.
Desolate Beauty.

Thanks, John.

Thanks, Arlen.
Weather can be unbelievably localized in Iceland. Where these photos were taken it was very calm. But at the same time two heaths away in Mývatn (45 mins drive), there were gale-force winds threatening to blow cars off the road. And one heath away (15 mins drive) there were frantic calls to Search & Rescue by tourists trapped in snowfall. When one talks about Iceland's weather, there is not the slightest exaggeration.

Nice one.

A bit early for winter but so nice to see this snow…
Well done and keep warm (even if that was only a short-lived winter before the real one).

Nice image. We had September snow here too last year which was a shock for everyone.
