Went out to shoot the Harvest Moon rising on Full Moon Eve last night. A nice evening to be out. This raven was cawing at me which gave me a chuckle when I remembered the old SNL Jack Handy bit: "The crows are calling my name, thought Caw.".

Thanks! Yeah the moon shot was the main event and plan. The raven was just a grab. I do like observing and photographing the ravens. They are fascinating, smart, and socially complex animals.

The moon lamp is a beauty.

Thank you Rajan!
The photo is seeing a lot of activity on Flickr, for what it's worth. (which is not much, I'm guessing)

I like them both. But despite beauty of the moonscape, I like the raven image even more for its evocativeness, "Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”

Thanks and yeah the raven is cool. If I could have only gotten the raven and moon in the same shot! Maybe next time... :)
