Title: ERRATIC Charge Indication On Third Party Batteries?
Post by: Michael West on September 13, 2021, 10:26:56 pm

which camera batteries can one count on to provide an accurate readout of remaining capacity?

Id meant to replace my camera batteries with Canon camera Batteries some months ago...and so wish I had.

I got a readout of maybe twenty percent capacity in a battery in use and then it bottomed out.

I was certain that the camera had gone belly up!.......for maybe an hour ....until I remembered how poorly my third party  batteries communicated charge to the camera

Other than first  party batteries what brand batteries if any, have you used  that communicate an accurate charge capacity to your camera?

Thanks In advance!

Third party Canon (and probably others ) batteries are a waste of money. They also won't work at all on later cameras.

the distraction of an erratic readout just  isnt acceptable...nope.

Thank you.
