I think I’d prefer a Zfc with the new 40mm f2.0.

Yes, but the Ricoh is 262 grams (9.2 ounces) with battery and memory card and includes built in lens.  I had the previous Ricoh GRIII and it is easily pocketable while you are out hiking.  Gave it to my nephew so he could take better photos than with his cell phone while he is out hiking and climbing.  The Nikon is 390 grams (14 ounces) without the lens.  Completely different categories based on weight/size.
