My shots are shown on the rear monitor but my computer says the folder is empty when trying to import. Is the card damaged?

Perhaps you should get a hold of the card manufactuere customer support.
-
Is the computer for some reason looking in the wrong place (if using auto import)? Have you looked manually (finder or win explorer)?

Make sure you are in the right subfolder.

It is my standard workflow. Before I import the files to CP1 catalogue.
1. Insert the card to the reader.
2. Open the card to see icdm.
3. Change name
But in this case at the 2 the computer says the folder is empty. But I verified the card works in the different camera. And Fuji works with different cards.

Perhaps self-evident, but have you tried formattting the sd-card already? Preferably in the camera. Those flash drives develop "interesting" behaviour if not formatted regularly.
Regular formatting also helps if you need to restore accidentally deleted files.

I'm still baffled by the fact that the camera can see images on the card. They have to be somewhere.
I'd navigate to the top level of the card then initiate a search for *.jpg and/or *.(raw) ie whatever raw extension your camera saves
That should find whatever is on the card and show you were they are.
EDIT : I assume in 2) above you entered a typo and meant DCIM. If indeed you have a folder called icdm then the images won't be there, look for DCIM.

Sorry my typo. It should be DCIM. I noticed yesterday the order of recording files was the second slot first instead of second. After I put right sequence back everything seems to be normal.
