Title: A good day
Post by: MattBurt on August 27, 2021, 11:09:00 am: I've felt like I've been in a photo slump lately. With all the smoke and wind this summer it's been hard to get the shots I want and hard to motivate to even try sometimes. But yesterday we had both a nice sunrise and a beautifully stormy evening and no significant smoke. It was glorious and really motivated me to get out and shoot.
This is all within about 2 miles from home which is pretty convenient.

I believe they are. They were part of a giant supercell that passed through.

I appreciate the comments. I'm also torn between the lightning and the big cloud if I had to pick one.
Lightning is always exciting to shoot and that is where most of the effort went once I saw the possibility for that shot.
But the cloud was so ominous and impressive. And it was the first "real" shots with my new Irix Firefly 15mm which seems like a good purchase so far. I got it more for astro but it does well in this environment too.
