Title: Independence Coneflowers
Post by: Bob_B on July 05, 2021, 03:20:53 pm
Further experimentation, once again with coneflowers as subjects shortly after sunset on July 4th. Thank you for viewing and leaving your thoughts and comments. A second version with a much greater depth of field is in my 'processing bin', for those seeking more DOF  ;)

I like the way the foreground ones stand out from the bunch.
No more depth of field needed for me.

Beautiful. Thin dof works well here.

IDK, maybe a little less DOF ;) This is lovely (as is)!

I echo all the comments above, no need of more DOF here.
Well done.

The same subject, but a very different emotional affect.
This one is pretty, but I prefer the first version for its emotional power.

Yes, I tend to agree with you, but I wanted to add a different 'take' on the scene.

I really like the second image best. It draws me right in and and has a wonderful flow. If you are looking for critique, my thinking is that the image would be even more enticing if the sculpture was not there. What is the soft glow? Orton technique?

Thanks John R. Regarding the second image: I'm with you about the sculpture, and I made a few quick attempts to remove it in PS that failed. I may go back and try again. The soft glow is Nik Color Efex glamour glow (and a few others).
