Title: ACR profiles for Sony A7iii
Post by: Dutch_Capture on June 29, 2021, 11:01:23 am
I am using ACR (and PS) for the raw files from my Sony A7iii and I find it very difficult to obtain natural skin colors with any of the profiles that are present in ACR. Most of the time, I use Camera Standard or Camera Portrait but very often, skin colors are too yellow or green to look natural. Of course, I try and correct colors using the ACR tools, and that often works reasonably well. But somehow, the standard profiles that ACR provides do not seem to offer a very good point of departure. Any ideas/suggestions would be most welcome.

Got a Macbeth ColorChecker? Make your own, there are at least two free software products to do this.

Thanks, Andrew. No I haven't and yes, I will get one. The X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 is recommended by many. X-Rite has its own (I believe free) software, and then some seem to prefer Lumariver, which is not free (30 euro for its most basic version).
