Title: HP Z3100 11:10 trailing cable error
Post by: dandeliondigital on June 19, 2021, 01:07:06 pm
Hello,
My HP Z3100PS 44" PHOTO Printer has been throwing up 11:10 "trailing cable" errors.

About a month ago, I booted it up and got the 11:10 error. I turned it off, and pulled out the plug, and repeated that process 3 times. On the third time, it booted OK. I printed without issue, but...

Yesterday I tried to boot it up, and I got the error at boot. I tried a second time, and it booted. I printed the diagnostic image, and then cleaned the print heads, and printed the diagnostic image a second time, and it finished the diagnostic print, but after printing it gave the error again, so I am going to have to fix this.

Anyone have any idea what is going on here? How I fix this bad cable? Bad connection? Something worse?

Anyone have an opinion of whether I should buy and install an HP OEM cable, or are the other cheaper ones OK?

Any and all comments appreciated.

Thanks, and so long for now, Tom
