Title: Question for Mac users
Post by: PeterAit on May 29, 2021, 04:43:18 pm
A friend uses LR on a Mac. She is not computer savvy, and I know diddly about Macs. All her photos are accessible in LR but she has no idea where they, or her catalog for that matter, are stored on her disk and she needs to know this to set up a backup regime. I am sure this is simple! Help is appreciated.

Probably in 'Pictures' under 'Home'?
Cheers,

She can find out where the catalog is by going into Catalog Settings.  The top row of the window that opens shows the location of the Catalog.

For the location of her images perhaps the simplest is to right click on any image or any folder (when in Library),  In windows there an option to "Show in Explorer"  As far as I recall on a MAC it is "Show in Finder".

These are the same ways to find things on Windows and on a MAC.
