Title: Converting Manfrotto Ball Head to Acra Swiss Quick-Release
Post by: Kit-V on May 26, 2021, 05:47:24 pm
I have an older Manfrotto ball head (model 488RC2). I want to remove the top plate & replace it with a arca swiss top plate. However, the stock Manfrotto top plate is NOT held in place with a hex screw. It appears to be a pressure fit. Or there could be threads on the ball head post itself that screw into the top plate. In any event, it will not come off easily. If someone is familiar with this ball head, I would really appreciate your thoughts on removing the top plate. Thank you so much.
