Looked up and there it was. A wasp family honeycomb?,... not sure,.. but looked like that none the less,... evening light, S Ontario.

It reminded me of a spittle bug "nest", but this looks dry and fibrous.
interesting find.

Not sure,.. but it was definitely not man-made.
