Title: A winter image from Cumbria

Bassenthwaite Lake. I have posted different images from here before. Sometimes you are lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. Ken

Really stunning… I love the fog, the peaceful lake and the barely discernible ridge and other vegetation.
That's a quiet image but so powerful - something like a noisy silence.

Well done!

Very nice! You seem to be very lucky, very often  ;)

That's real cracker Ken, wish I'd been there when it looked like that  :)

Thanks everyone for the comments. It is difficult to predict fog and mist so getting conditions like this is luck, even with promising forecasts. At my first location I spent a fruitless 90 minutes waiting for something to happen before moving and drove past this. I had 24 minutes from arrival to the sun totally breaking through and killing the magic. Earlier and I would have driven past, later and I would have missed it. Ken
