Title: Fuji GX680 and hack to bypass Kapture Group box
Post by: andyptak on April 20, 2021, 04:20:00 pm
I know such a thing exists and have read about it in old posts on various forums but have not been able to find out the specifics. I'm shooting with a P45+ back and would like to synch to flash as well as bypass the wake up signal from the Kapture Group box. Anyone have further information? Thanks.

Hi Andy,

The hack is by a guy in South Korea. He lists on eBay both the conversion (about $350) and converted cameras (about $1100).

I have one, and use it with a Leaf AptusII5, works great. Not sure if it is quite as seamless with the Phase. I tried a mates P25, and it still needed the little wake-up doodad that Phase sell. P45 might be different. I know the P40+ and P65+ work as they can be set to "zero latency".

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Jason.
