No matter what I do, Lightroom Classic (10.1.1) sends images as "US Letter" to the Epson Surecolor P-900 in my studio.
I'm using the latest Lightroom (uninstalled and reinstalled), the latest version of the Epson Software and MacOS Big Sir, 11.1 on an M1 Macbook Air. I spent two hours on tech support with Adobe. We've tried everything we can think of. I wanted to print on 13 x 19 but I'm also trying 11 x 17 and that isn't working. If I look at the screen on the SC P-900 it says the size is "US Letter." I've chosen NO template and the cell size and paper size in LR are correctly set to 11 x 17.
Any ideas? I can print fine from Photoshop and Preview, but I was really hoping to simply my workflow here.

Make sure you don't have a preset in the actual print driver set for anything but “default” in the popup (called “preset standard”) in the driver. Not a user created one. Everything is set directly in LR including print size. An Epson/user created driver preset can mess this all up.

When you load the paper into the 900, are you specifying the paper size in the LCD and not just in the driver? These new series printers so not "always" (in my experience) allow driver settings to be preeminent.

Would not PS and Preview also be affected by that? Seems an LR issue alone if I'm following the OP correctly.

Unfortunately, good tips but neither one works for me. The printer is on "default settings" and I set the paper size on the printer itself as well as on the Mac. The same default settings do work with Preview and Photoshop.

Start from scratch. Build a totally NEW virgin Print Template by configuring everything necessary in Page Setup and the Print driver and save it. Try this and of course, keep the printer on Preset" default"
If you can print OK in Photoshop, it's clearly a LR, Print Module issue, gotta be a setting used that LR is accessing in terms of the wrong paper size.

Hi Andrew,
Adobe techs reinstalled Lightroom using their screen sharing application after deleting all the preferences and removing the original install. They created a new catalog and printed an image WITHOUT any template. Still no luck.

They didn't really have to do that but anyway, did you try create on your end, with your print driver set exactly as it should be, a new print template?

Yes, most likely. But on my 7570 I had one instance where the driver and the print layout in LR were “correct” but the printer had other ideas. I discovered that it had changed the paper size all on its own, internally! So, kind of grasping at straws for the OP in case he had something similar.

How did you discover this?

Frustrated, I posted the same question on DPreview and received a note suggesting I try Epson Print Layout. As that poster stated, exporting to the Epson Print Layout application is a better solution all around. I am able to print now and, given that there is less clicking around in different dialogs, it's actually an easier process.
