Hi Stephan,
if you were still into this topic: BasICColor Display 6 is comparable to CEDP, as it can handle hardware calibrateable monitors like Eizo/Nec as well as normal graphic card LUTs.
Version 6 is 64bit, newly written from the scratch. A Pro version with additional features like whitepoint editing etc. exists, too. There are some minor childhood diseases, but I would recommend to give it a try.

Yup, and that 'other site' (will I get into trouble for mentioning it? :'( ) has a lot of info here:

thx guys,
the info is very much appreciated.
Does any of you know if this software would work with my Spyder3 calibrator ?
I have an inbuilt calibrator in my CG318, but other monitors have to be calibrated too...
all the best
Stephan

Monitors (DDC/CI)
We also support generic DDC protocol, it is impossible to say which monitors react to that. Tested: Cinema HD (brightness only), Dell UP2516D (brightness and RGB gains), HP Dreamcolor (brightness and RGB gains), some LG monitors. BenQ SV271 pretends to support the protocol, but the screen doesn’t change .
