Title: Epson R2000 on standby
Post by: athegn on December 28, 2020, 06:57:53 am
I read, a long while ago, that one could use a timer to wakeup an Epson printer (can't remember what model) to trigger a head clean on a regular basis; useful if your printer is not used that often.

I have an Epson R2000 which does not get used that often so occasionally I do get head clogs; lots of head cleaning cures.

I have tried turning on the socket power switch but this does not seem to wake up the printer, even though I left it on when I switched the power socket switch off.

Can I setup my R2000 so that it is in standby and so will wake and do a head clean when power applied?

I don't know that model, but the consensus is to have your Computer 'automatically' Print something; every now and then. You'll probably use a little less ink and still give the nozzles the exercise they need.

I think there is talk of an Application that Folks use for this purpose; talked about here on the Forum.

Thank you for your reply.

It is the 'automatically' I want.
