I have a 2013 fully specced MacPro (12-core processor, 2 x FirePro D700 GPU with 6GB VRAM each, 64 GB RAM). I'm running Mojave--the most recent update. If I have GPU acceleration turned on, Lightroom freezes my system so tightly that I have to hard reset. I can't even get it to force quit. Has anyone else had issues of this sort with Lightroom?
It's been suggested to me by an Adobe tech that I update to Big Sur as a cure. I'm not enthusiastic about that, because it's been reported to be less stable than I'd like it to be for a work machine, and because I don't like the IOS interface ideas much. Have any of you got experience with Adobe CC software and C1 under Big Sur? Any issues?

Thank you for the vote of confidence in Big Sur.
I solved the immediate problem (with an Adobe tech's help) by disabling GPU acceleration for Lightroom. There's a two-month thread on the Adobe help forum about problems with custom profiles--anything other than sRGB or Adobe GRB being a source of the problem. I'm running a profiled Eizo monitor, so that may be part of the problem, I haven't tested yet. If so, that's a pretty big problem for a program that's intended for professoinal use.
