Title: Techmount® Dry Mount Tissue
Post by: Simmons on October 29, 2020, 04:36:10 am
Hello,
i need to use the Techmount® Dry Mount Tissue in "emergency". Is a product i will never use again because i use cold lamination. Is it possible to use a simple iron machine instead of a press?
Thank you

How big is the material you're going to mount? What are you mounting, and to what?

Looks like Techmount needs max 95C which is doable with a domestic iron. Progress of the iron is not far different to the pattern you'd make to spray a print, just the progress is slower, and your arm aches more at the end.

Obviously not an option for RC paper, and older Epson inks were less than happy to have excess heat applied.

Can you call on plan B if the ironing goes wrong?
