Title: Flammulated Owl
Post by: Glenn Bartley on October 02, 2020, 11:08:18 am
Here's one from earlier this Spring in the interior of BC. These guys had been on my target list for a while now so it was a real thrill to finally get my lens on one.

These pictures are very beautiful.
I thought owls were one species. But seeing these photos, I realized that there are several species of owls.

I had to look up "flammulated" - it means having flame-shaped markings. Which I don't really see on this owl, to be honest.
